Steelcord is a steel wire used as a single element in wobblers or in a cord. It is used to reinforce tyres. This Steelcord scrap is obtained in an incinerator plant, that burns tyres to recover energy.
This material respect other steel wire scraps that are obtained from the shredding of wasted tyres has a very low percentage of impurities, because all the rubber and fiber have been burnt during the incineration process.
The oxidation regards only the surface of the material, but you are welcome to test and visit our plant in Italy.
